Florida Law and/or Rollins Policy require the following immunizations: Two doses of Measles, Mumps, Rubella immunization or blood tests showing evidence of immunity. Three doses of Hepatitis B. One Meningitis vaccination (Menactra). A booster dose of Tetanus-diphtheria (Td) within the past 10 years. Students must comply with the state law or they will be unable to attend classes or register for next semester. These immunization are available at the Health Center. A waiver is allowed under certain circumstances. Other immunizations are also available at the Health Center, call for availability.
All entering college students without history of the disease (Chickenpox) or without age appropriate immunization or with negative antibody titer should have the Varicella vaccine.
Screening is suggested for entering students especially those who have recently traveled abroad. A Mantoux (PPD) test is the only acceptable screening. This is available at the Health Center. Students must return 48 hours after placement for completion and validation of the test.
