Summer 2010 Financial Aid

How to apply - Submit this application to the Financial Aid Office or send an email to with Summer Aid, your name and Rollins R# in the subject line.

New students will need to complete the 2009-2010 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at Rollins school code #001515. Please also complete the 2010-2011 FAFSA as well.

Summer Enrollment - Financial aid will not become final until your summer enrollment for the Maymester, the Holt 12 Week Term, First Six Week Term and the Second Six Week Term have been confirmed. If your enrollment changes, your financial aid will be adjusted accordingly.


Financial Aid Programs

Please note the Florida Resident Access Grant (FRAG) or Bright Futures are not available in the summer.

Federal Pell Grant - *NEW* Two Pell Grant Scheduled Awards in an Award Year
If you received a Pell Grant in the fall/spring semesters you may be eligible to receive a 2nd Pell Grant Scheduled Award during the summer semester. To receive the 2nd Scheduled Award a student must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours. Please be advised, the Pell Grant Award will not cover the total cost of tuition.

Federal Direct Stafford Loans

Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours to receive a Direct Stafford Loan. Graduate students must be enrolled in at least 3 credit hours. The Federal Government allows you to borrow a limited amount each year. If you have already borrowed the maximum amount during the Fall and Spring, you will not be eligible for a loan during the summer. If you have not yet borrowed your maximum loan, you may be eligible for a summer loan.

Please keep in mind the following annual loan limits:


$3500 Subsidized/$2000 Unsubsidized (0 to 29 semester hrs)
$4500 Subsidized/$2000 Unsubsidized (30 to 59 semester hrs)
$5500 Subsidized/$2000 Unsubsidized (60 semester hrs and above)


$3500/$6000 Subsidized/Unsubsidized (0 to 29 semester hrs)
$4500/$6000 Subsidized/Unsubsidized (30 to 59 semester hrs)
$5500/$7000 Subsidized/Unsubsidized (60 semester and above)


$8500 Subsidized/$12000 Unsubsidized
Grad Plus Loan – up to cost of attendance, less other financial aid programs

These limits apply to loans received for Fall 2009, Spring 2010, and Summer 2010. Loans received within these semesters count toward your total loan eligibility for the year.
