Rollins Explorations offers a variety of programs and resources to fully engage first-year students in their lifelong educational journeys while assisting them in making a successful transition to campus. The purpose of Rollins Explorations is to help students integrate the learning that takes place through the academic mission of the college and engage students in the academic community. Rollins Explorations focuses on synthesizing the liberal arts academic curriculum, student development, leadership development and community engagement to help first-year students become responsible leaders and global citizens.
While classroom learning provides students with a solid foundation of critical thinking, curricular and co-curricular studies and experiential education together offer “real life” preparation for future careers and communities. Rollins Explorations believes that learning occurs when students reflect and make connections between theory and practice and by truly applying their liberal arts experience. The critical thinking skills which allow students to excel academically also yield students who are committed to lifelong learning.
