              * WEBSITE UPDATE 5/12/08:

                      Letters with log-in and

                  passwords information were

                  sent out last Friday and should

                  get to you this week. 

                  International Students packets

                  have been shipped and an

                  additional e-mail will be sent

                  out soon to get this

                  information to you in a timely

                  manner. 

                    * Fall Orientation Information:

                        As students start to deposit,

                  they are also starting to make

                  flight arrangements for next

                  fall.  Orientation starts with

                  move-in day on Tuesday,

                  August 19th.  Check-in will be

                  from 9:00 am-4:00 pm.  There

                  will be a one hour Parents

                  Orientation from 3-4 pm and

                  from 4-5 pm parents will be

                  able to meet with their

                  student's RCC Professor.  For

                  parents who are able to spend

                  the night in the Winter Park

                  area, there will be a full day

                  optional Parents Orientation on

                  Wednesday, August 20th.  We

                  ask all parents to leave by

                  7:00 pm on Wednesday night. 

              * Summer Reading Book Update:

                  The Summer Reading book

                  has been chosen.  In early to

                  mid-June we will mail you a

                  copy of The Kite Runner by

                  Khaled Haosseini. 

 

              

             

 

 

Dear Class of 2012,

Welcome to the Rollins Explorations webpage! 

Everyone on campus is very excited to welcome a new group of students into our academic community next fall.  While you are busy wrapping up your high school career and making plans for the summer, we are all busy preparing for your arrival. During your first year at Rollins you will have the chance to participate in a variety of programs, events, and leadership opportunities to help you explore who you are, discover what your interests might be, and contemplate what you want to do with the rest of your life. To reflect this process of discovery and adventure during your first year we have appropriately named these programs and opportunities Rollins Explorations. The good news is that you will not do this exploring alone—an expert group of Explorations Team members will help you along the way! Your RCC Professor, Peer Mentors, and Student and Academic Affairs staff stand ready to assist you during your explorations.

In preparation for your arrival next fall, the Explorations Team has prepared this interactive and informative website to provide you with the critical information that you need to know before your arrival on campus.   The webpage you see was designed for the Class of 2011, who had a great first semester in college here at Rollins last fall.  The information links in the upper left hand corner will provide you with some useful information that may help you make your college decision.  Of note are the RCC course descriptions and faculty bios.
