Triple-Bottom-Line Strategies for the Next Generation and Beyond Over the past few decades, it has become apparent that the pace and manner of global economic development is challenging the capacity of our natural systems. As we “think forward” to future generations, it is imperative that enterprises, large and small, develop strategies that consider impacts on people and the planet while enhancing profits. With challenge, however, comes opportunity. Hence, while creativity will continue to be a requirement for success, the most innovative strategies may find reward in unprecedented and unexpected ways. In this workshop, we will explore models and cases of strategic innovation that address a variety of today’s challenges, protecting or enhancing the value of environmental and/or social resources, while contributing to the traditional, financial bottom line.
