keys to surviving your hospital stay

This forum is designed to educate the general public on how they may better facilitate a safer hospital stay. It will inform attendees on what hospitals are doing to reduce medical errors, hospital acquired infections, and other medical issues. Forum participants will learn how to become a self-patient advocate.

Chet Evans, MS, DPM, FACFAS - Moderator – Executive Director, Rollins Center for Health Innovation; Immediate Past-Chair, Florida Diabetes Advisory Council; Founder, American Board of Wound Management; Clinical Wound Specialist.

Frank Stone, MD Presenter and Panelist is the medical director for Celebration Health Assessments at Florida Hospital Celebration Health, and is part of the Florida Hospital Institute of Lifestyle Medicine. His primary focus is preventative medicine for adults and children. He is also one of the primary care physicians for the Atlanta Braves. Dr. Stone earned his medical degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and is board certified in internal medicine and pediatrics.

Jay Ladde, MD Presenter and Panelist is an active Emergency Medicine physician at Orlando Health. He holds board certification in Emergency Medicine and serves as Associate Program Director for Orlando Health Emergency Medicine. He obtained his medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine. As Associate Professor and Clerkship Director for Emergency Medicine at UCF’s College of Medicine, Dr. Ladde developed the Emergency Medicine Clerkship curriculum. He is clinical Assistant Professor at both the University of Florida’s College of Medicine and Florida State University’s College of Medicine.

Tek Vu MS-HSA Presenter and Panelist is the manager of Education and Operations Improvement at Florida Hospital. His role is to ensure a quality and consistent patient experience. Vu holds a master’s degree in Health and Administration Services from the University of Central Florida.
