President's Award for Diversity and Inclusion

In 2010 the Rollins Diversity Advisory Council worked to establish The President’s Award for Diversity and Inclusion. This award is intended to recognize and honor students, faculty and staff for their efforts aimed at promoting diversity awareness, representation and inclusion within the Rollins workplace and student community. Three awards are granted annually each to a student, faculty and staff member whose contributions and actions over time best exemplify and advance the College’s diversity commitment and objectives as reflected in the nominee criteria below.  Recipients are honored at the conclusion of each academic year with an engraved plaque and a $1,000 award.  A group or department may also be nominated and if selected will share the award. All faculty, staff and students are encouraged to nominate deserving candidates.

Eligibility

  • All students, faculty and staff
  • Must not have been selected as the award’s recipient in the past 5 years
  • Current members of the Diversity Council Steering Committee and those whose principle job responsibilities at the College involve diversity work are not eligible

Success Criteria

Nominees will be evaluated based on their demonstrated commitment over time to the principles and ideals of diversity and inclusion, as evidenced by efforts to:
