ORLANDO, Fla., October 15, 2009 — The Rollins MBA at the Crummer Graduate School of Business announced that it has been featured in The Princeton Review’s new 2010 edition of its book, “The Best 301 Business Schools” (Random House / Princeton Review, on sale date Oct. 6, 2009, $22.99). As part of the ranking, the Rollins MBA was named the top entrepreneur program in Florida (22nd in the nation). The Rollins MBA has also been recognized as a top business school for Hispanic students by Hispanic Business magazine. The publication ranked the Rollins MBA as 13th in its listing of the top 20 business schools.
“We are pleased that the Rollins MBA continues to be recognized on a national level for its commitment to providing students with a cutting-edge MBA program that provides a compelling ROI,” said Craig McAllaster, dean of the Rollins MBA at the Crummer Graduate School of Business.
According to Robert Franek, Princeton Review senior vice president of publishing, “We recommend the Rollins MBA to readers of our book and users of our site, www.PrincetonReview.com, as one of the best institutions they could attend to earn an MBA. We chose the 301 business schools in this book based on our opinion of their academic programs and offerings, as well as our review of institutional data we collect from the schools. We also strongly consider the candid opinions of students attending the schools who rate and report on their campus experiences at their schools on our survey for the book.”
“The Best 301 Business Schools: 2010 Edition” has two-page profiles of the schools with write-ups on their academics, student life and admissions, plus ratings for their academics, selectivity and career placement services. In the profile on Rollins MBA, The Princeton Review editors describe the school as having: “four separate programs—each geared to the needs of a distinct demographic—just about anyone and everyone, from the business neophyte to the experienced manager, can benefit.” They quote from students attending Rollins MBA who say the “wonderful faculty bring a lot to the table with a high level of professionalism, competence, and real-world experience.”
The Princeton Review lists topics that Rollins MBA students it surveyed were in most agreement about. The list includes: “cutting edge classes and solid preparation in presentation skills, quantitative skills and computer skills.”
The Princeton Review’s 80-question survey for the book asked students about themselves, their career plans, and their schools’ academics, student body and campus life.
“The Best 301 Business Schools: 2010 Edition” book features 11 ranking lists of the top 10 business schools in various categories. Ten lists are based on The Princeton Review's surveys of 19,000 students attending the 301 business schools profiled in the book. (Only schools that permitted The Princeton Review to survey their students were eligible for consideration for these lists.) Conducted during the 2008-09, 2007-08 and 2006-07 academic years, the student surveys were primarily completed online. One list, “Toughest to Get Into,” is based solely on institutional data. (All schools in the book were eligible for consideration for this list.) The lists are posted at www.PrincetonReview.com.
