Early Advantage MBA Application Process

Accepting Applications for August 2011 and January 2012

Two Start Options Available

Rollins College is now offering two start options for the Early Advantage MBA. Both options include full and partial tuition scholarships, a global study trip and four full-time semesters of coursework. We are currently accepting applications for the August 2011 and January 2012 entering classes.

Admission to the Rollins Early Advantage MBA (EAMBA) Program is selective and based upon an evaluation of all application materials submitted by the candidate. Previous academic records, score on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), prior work experience, and leadership skills are among the factors that are evaluated during the admission process. The MBA programs have different criteria and it is to your advantage to submit an application as early as possible.

Admissions Instructions
The following materials must be sent to the Crummer School in order for the application to be evaluated by the admissions committee. Materials may be submitted all together or piece-by-piece. Please send admission materials to:

However, meeting these requirements does not ensure acceptance. In order to be considered for admission, a prospective student must provide the following:

Application for Admission
We encourage prospective students to apply online. You may also download and print a copy of the application. A $50 dollar application fee, which is non-refundable, must accompany the completed application form. Checks or money orders should be made payable to Rollins College

Statement of Purpose
Please write a detailed and carefully edited statement indicating your reasons for pursuing an MBA degree, your reasons for choosing the Rollins MBA, and how these two decisions will combine to assure your professional and personal success. You should incorporate details of your academic and professional background, your strengths and challenges, and any unique aspects of your candidacy you want the Admissions Committee to consider. The suggested length is between 500 and 1,000 words.

Transcripts
Applicants should arrange to have all official transcripts of academic records sent directly from each undergraduate, graduate, and professional school attended. In order to be eligible for admissions, candidates must have completed an undergraduate degree from an accredited university prior to EAMBA Orientation.

Confidential Evaluations
Two Confidential Evaluation forms are required before your application is considered complete. They should be filled out by individuals who are familiar with your academic performance, or professional persons who can highlight your potential for graduate work. Candidates should sign in to the online application system for instructions on how recommenders can complete the form online or download a printable version from the link above. Hard copies of the confidential evaluation must be sealed in an envelope with the evaluator’s signature over the seal. It is the applicant's responsibility to provide recommenders ample time to return these evaluations.

Résumé
Your résumé outlines your academic and professional experiences and highlights significant accomplishments.

Test Scores (GMAT or GRE)
All applicants are required to submit an official score on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Official scores should be sent directly to the school. The GMAT/GRE requirement may be waived for applicants who have earned a graduate-level degree; however EAMBA applicants wishing to be considered for scholarship funds should submit a score on the GMAT even if they have a graduate degree.

Test preparation courses are offered through the Rollins College Management and Executive Education Center.

Interviews
Interviews are scheduled by invitation only. If the Admissions Committee determines that an interview is necessary, you will be contacted by a representative from our office. Requests for interviews cannot be considered unless all required admissions information has been received by the Crummer School. All applicants being considered for admissions are required to participate in a personal interview with the Admissions Committee. Interviews help to assess an applicant's qualifications and provide the prospective student with a more accurate perspective of the many features of the Crummer School graduate business programs. On-campus interviews are preferred, but for those who are unable to visit Crummer, the EAMBA Admissions Committee will allow phone or teleconference interviews may be scheduled.

International Students

In addition to the material above International Students may need to submit the following two items:

Official TOEFL Score
Your Official TOEFL Score is required for admission if English is not your first language. We require a 100 on the TOEFL iBT. If you have received a degree from a school where English is the primary language of instruction, the TOEFL requirement is waived. Please contact us for more details.

Transcript Evaluation
A transcript evaluation (not translation) is required if your undergraduate degree was awarded by a school outside of the United States. An evaluation can be obtained from a NACES approved organization, including Educational Perspectives , World Education Services or Josef Silny & Associates Inc.  A "course-by-course" evaluation is sufficient for admission purposes. If you have taken graduate level courses that you want us to consider for transfer purposes, you will need to submit a "course-by-course" evaluation. If you choose to have your transcript evaluated by Josef Silny you must also request an official cumulative grade point average report at an additional cost.
