Convocation

Welcoming new students to the Rollins family for more than a century

Welcome to Rollins

"Rise up. Rise up together, no longer as visitors to our Rollins campus, but as new citizens of our academic world. Find your future among us. Accept the challenges and the opportunities of your days and years here, as we now welcome you warmly into our academic home." — President Lewis M. Duncan, 2004 Convocation Address.

A Grand Welcome

Each fall, virtually the entire Rollins College community—from faculty and staff to students and parents—gather on campus for convocation. The ceremony celebrates the beginning of a new academic year and marks the formal matriculation of freshman and new transfers into Rollins College. Think of convocation as a grand welcome—the first day in a lifelong relationship with Rollins.
