2004 Winter Park Relay For Life Showalter Field Friday, March 26th & Saturday, March 27th For more information, please contact Lauren Smith at (407)975-6406 or via email at LASMITH@rollins.edu The purpose of Relay for Life is to raise money to support the vital work of the American Cancer Society, a nationwide voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Their goal is to prevent cancer, saving lives from cancer and diminish sufferring from cancer through research, education, advocacy and service.
Sixty percent of the funds raised from Relay for Life are dedicated to providing patient services and cancer education to Metro Orlando as well as to residents of Osceola and Seminole Counties. Forty percent of the funds will go towards life-saving research and national programs.
