Micki received a BS in Human Communication and Media Management from the State University of New York College at Fredonia and Master of Arts in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University. Meredith Hein serves as the Assistant Director for the Office of Community Engagement at Rollins College. She completed her Master's degree in Education Leadership: Student Personnel Administration at UCF in May of 2007. A native Floridian, she is originally from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Meredith shared that she feels that working in higher education allows her to continually learn from those around her, as well as to teach. Meredith loves to learn and laugh, and as a member of the Rollins community, she gets the opportunity to do that on a daily basis.
Motivating, teaching, and giving back to others is what inspires Meredith to be only a small part of such an amazingly engaged community. She plays an active role in overseeing the J.U.M.P initiative and SPARC program. For Meredith, it is more than watching the students grow after 4 years of college, it is as Lao Tzu once said, “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”
Additionally, in her free time, Meredith loves spending time with friends and family. She also really enjoys dining out, watching movies, playing with her dog Jack, rooting on the Yankees and catching up on sleep!

As a member of the Office of Community Engagement staff Annie has the amazing opportunity to assist students in finding their area of passion in service to the greater Central Florida community. It's always inspiring to see the difference that one student can make in their community in such a short amount of time. Remember that "the difference between 'ordinary' and 'extraordinary' is just that little extra" ~ anonymous. Come visit Annie in Community Engagement so she can help you create that "extra" for you.

Gabe Anderson is excited to serve this year as Rollins’ first ever AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer, and even more excited to join the OCE team. He will be working especially with the mentoring program at Fern Creek Elementary, RCCs and first-year students, and with LLCs.
An avid traveler, Gabe just returned from a four-month journey through England, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, and Burma. While he’s not busy traveling or fighting poverty and injustice, Gabe enjoys a variety of activities that are best pursued outside of Florida, including mountain biking, rock climbing, and hiking. He also enjoys exploring the bounds of facial hair design, playing soccer and (beach) volleyball, and canoeing.

On a more personal level, some of Adrianne's very favorite things include being best friends with her sister and being “Auntie Adge” to her beautiful niece and nephew. Adrianne also loves to curl up with her oversized Black Lab, Louie, and to take a good nap any chance she gets. She loves to unwind with her friends, play games, listen to good music and enjoy good comedy.
… If there is one thing that Adrianne enjoys more than chocolate, it is laughing.
