Ongoing Opportunities

Rollins has several community partners who have regularly scheduled events. Check out the list below to find ongoing service opportunities!

Fern Creek Elementary School Mentoring

Mentors spend 30-45 minutes with a child at Fern Creek once a week. All meetings occur at Fern Creek Elementary School (less than 5 miles from Rollins) between 8 AM and 2 PM. Besides tutoring, mentors will also focus on their student's personal growth by advising them in goal development, academic success, and personal values.

If interested please contact Yadira Elrod at YElrod@rollins.edu or at 407-691-1266 with any questions regarding these Information/Training Sessions or mentoring in general.

Page 15 is a local children's nonprofit that offers several free reading, writing, and tutoring programs to all OCPS students, with the majority of the children from the Parramore Neighborhood. The flagship program is the Homework Room, a drop in tutoring service at the downtown recreation center, which can serve up to forty kids a day. They are always looking for new tutors to help provide additional tutor help. Page 15 is a casual, fun, and educationally charged place ready to help kids with their homework, and have them become self-sufficient learners.
