Professor of Legal Studies and Communication. Primary teaching and research areas deal with legal studies, particularly interdisciplinary areas emphasizing sociological jurisprudence, ethics and thanatology.

Dr. Newman has been seminar lecturer for nine continuing medical education seminars for physicians sponsored by the International Education Seminars and the California Medical Society. These seminars offer 15 hours of required continuing medical education to practicing physicians. Dr. Newman gives all materials and lectures.
