WALTER E. BARDEN DISTINGUISHED TEACHING AWARD - 2000 Professor of the Year Students of the Hamilton Holt School select one professor each year to receive the Walter E. Barden Distinguished Teaching Award. This award is presented during graduation.

NATIONAL FACULTY SERVICE LEARNING AWARD NOMINATION - 2002 Rollins College selects one faculty per year to receive the nomination– The Thomas Ehrich Faculty Award for Service Learning Conducted 85 student projects for the community in 6 semesters

85 community projects were all completed in only 6 semesters

SENIOR CITIZENS: Senior Citizens Prom for the Widow and Widowers Club (complete with an Orchestra and Buffet) Books on Tape Program for the Blind Craft Day and Easter Extravaganza for a Nursing Home and a local daycare Nursing Home Craft Day with Preschoolers Senior Citizens Easter Art Project and Fun Day Day of Beauty for a Nursing Home Cards for Senior Citizens at Westminster Care of Orlando – Students made over 250 cards Halloween Party, Crafts and Live Music Performance at Westchester Assisted Living Haunted Halloween Maze at Westchester Assisted Living

Students obtained a $5,000 grant. CONSORTIUM OF HEALTH EDUCATION IN APPALACHIAN OHIO Conducted training needs assessment of hospital physicians and nurses. Designed and presented tailored educational seminars on: Patient Communication, Dealing with Difficult People, and Communication for Increasing Patient Satisfaction.

STONEWALL JACKSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL- Team Consultant Surveyed organizational communication using both quantitative and qualitative methods, and presented recommendations for organizational change.

VISTANA DEVELOPMENT-Training Specialist / Instructional Designer Developed company-wide management and employee-based programs. Designed manuals, facilitator guides and training videos. Awarded instructor certification in DDI service, management, and leadership programs.

COLLEGE OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE Coordinated statistical analysis of exam questions, proctored exams, reviewed academic standings, and served as a liason and consultant to medical students and coordinators.
