Colleges of Liberal Arts

Falecia Douglas Williams ’91
West Campus President, Valencia College

Dr. Falecia D. Williams currently serves as the West Campus President for Valencia College in Orlando, Florida, one of the nation’s largest and most celebrated community colleges.  Valencia is widely known for its academic excellence, deep faculty engagement, high rates of graduation, exceptional job placement rates, and outstanding partnerships within the community and industry. As a result, the college was selected by the Aspen Institutes as the inaugural winner of the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence in 2011 and continues to be one of the highest performing community colleges in the nation.

Dr. Williams was recently tapped to lead Valencia’s collaborative efforts with the University of Central Florida that garnered state approval for a new campus in Downtown Orlando and will add the new campus to her portfolio of responsibilities. Her primary role is to lead the development and implementation of a unique, compelling campus vision that portends a defined emphasis on significant improvements in the quality and impact of the campus’ educational programs while empowering the community for long-term sustainability.

Dr. Williams has an extensive career in secondary and post-secondary education.  She is a former teacher of varying exceptionalities and gifted education in the Lake County Public School System. During her tenure at Valencia, she served as a part-time faculty member, Program Director for Dual Enrollment, Director of College Transition Programs, Dean of Workforce Programs, Assistant Vice President for Workforce Education, and Interim Provost for West Campus. She is noted for leading the design and development of the college’s germinal processes to build program pathways, create program learning outcomes for Associate of Science degrees, and to offer bachelor’s degrees. She continues to achieve remarkable outcomes in the areas of student success initiatives, program development, and community transformation.

Prior to Valencia, Dr. Williams was a secondary teacher in varying exceptionalities, gifted education, and social studies, and also worked as a high school volleyball and basketball coach, and grant administrator in the Lake County Public School system. She led significant efforts to close the performance gaps for students of color, increase community engagement, strengthen parental support, and broaden professional development opportunities for teachers.

Dr. Williams earned her A.B. degree from Rollins in 1991, graduating with a major in psychology. As a student, she was president of the Black Student Union and a standout on the volleyball team. In 2008, she was inducted into the Rollins Sports Hall of Fame. 

Dr. Williams also holds a M.A. from Stetson University and Ed.D. from the University of Central Florida, and is a graduate of the Institute for Education Management at Harvard University.

Michael Napolitano
Officer, Orlando Police Department

Michael Napolitano has served the Orlando Police Department as an officer since 2012 and has been a member of the SWAT Team since 2015. Before becoming a police officer, he graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and a 3.58 GPA.

While at UCF, Michael was named The Lawrence J. Chastang Global Fellow and was a Showcase of Undergraduate Research Excellence Winner. He was also named to the University's Dean's and President's List.

During his career at OPD, Michael has made connections with the community and children during outreach programs such as city-wide demonstrations of police and SWAT tactical gear and vehicles. He also assists with the training of new officers.

Robert D. Finfrock, Jr. '71MCS
Chairman, FINFROCK

Robert Finfrock is Chairman of FINFROCK a vertically integrated design-build company utilizing precast/prestressed concrete products for its structures. He is also a founder and owner of StructureWorks, LLC, a developer of 3D modeling, communication, and electronic work instruction software for the precast/prestressed concrete industry. Mr. Finfrock has served as the Chairman of the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute and has been named a Titan of Precast-Prestressed Concrete Industry, a Fellow of both the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute and American Concrete Institute. He has been an active participant in many local, professional, and industry organizations and a member of various boards. Mr. Finfrock has served on the Crummer School’s Board of Overseers and Center for Advanced Entrepreneurship as well as having been inducted into the Rollins Hall of Fame in 2012. Mr. Finfrock has co-authored a competitive strategy business book, titled Beyond Price. He received a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Vanderbilt University and his MCS from Rollins College.
