Rollins’ Cornell Museum & art department
host student art auction:
“Art & Hors d’Œuvres”
Winter Park,
FL — Rollins College’s Cornell Fine Arts Museum and the Art and Art
History Department are hosting an auction and raffle of student and
faculty art on Friday, March 25, from 6 to 8
p.m. in the art building next door to the Cornell Museum. Called “Art
& Hors d’Œuvres,” the evening will include a silent
auction, raffle, art-making activities, live music by D-Street, and
refreshments.
Rollins’ students and
faculty members have produced and donated original works of art for the
auction and raffle. “Art &
Hors d’Œuvres” is free, but tickets for a raffle will be
sold for $1 at the door. All proceeds will go to help purchase
materials for art students.
With the help of
student assistants, visitors will be able to create art in
do-it-yourself art-making activities ― such as printmaking, photography,
and mixed media.
“Art
& Hors d’Œuvres” is open to the public. Please call the
Cornell Museum at 407-646-2526 or visit the Museum’s website at
www.rollins.edu/cfam for more information or for a schedule of
other Cornell Museum events taking place while the Museum’s facility is
under construction.
