2006 Senior art show opens at rollins college
Winter Park, FL- Framed: 2006 Senior Art Show opens at the Cornell Fine Arts Museum on Friday, April 28, with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. The exhibition will remain on view through May 14, 2006. Graduating studio art students of the Department of Art and Art History at Rollins College will be presenting their work in the Cornell Fine Arts Museum. This 19-person group exhibition, which will be the inaugural student show in the new museum building, represents the largest group of graduating artists in the history of Rollins College. Participating artists are Cole Borgeson, Kerry Cox, Audim Culver, Dani Dalgin, Blair Fawcett, Gigi Fouquet, Annie Hable, Amy Hayes, Nicole Hektner, Sally Johnston, Laura Link, Molly Lehnhardt, Danielle Lunger, Caitrin Merrill, Jasmine Parker, Kristina Pompa, Ashley Sakmar, Shannon Scott and Jessica Wheat. These students have also worked together to design the invitation, promote the opening of their show, and install their works. The exhibition encompasses a wide array of individual designs and unique conceptual ideas. Bodies of work include large-scale color photography, black and white photography, mixed media prints, and paintings based on self- portraiture, the human figure, and travel experiences. Also included are graphic and digital pieces. The exhibition selections, made by Curator of Exhibitions, Luanne McKinnon, exemplify the students’ skills and creative innovation. Gallery hours are 10 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday, and 1 to 5 pm Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults. There is no charge for CFAM Members, or Rollins College Faculty, Staff, and all Students with current ID.
