Yve-Alain Bois of Harvard to Speak at Cornell on “Picasso &
Matisse”
WINTER PARK, FL — Dr. Yve-Alain Bois, chairman of the Department
of History of Art and Architecture at Harvard University, will deliver
a free public lecture entitled “Picasso & Matisse: A Gentle
Rivalry,” on Sunday, February 6, at 3 p.m., at the Cornell Fine

from Matisse and Picasso to post-war American art. A collection of his
essays, Painting as Model, was published by M.I.T. press in 1990. Most
recently, Dr. Bois curated exhibitions Matisse and Picasso: A Gentle Rivalry
at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas, and “Ellsworth Kelly:
Early Drawings” at the Fogg Art Museum in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
