“2005 Senior
Art Show” Opens at Rollins College
Winter Park,
FL ― Rollins College’s Cornell Fine Arts Museum and the Department of
Art and Art History have jointly organized the 2005 Senior Art Show
mounted in the College’s Cornell Campus Center. The exhibition
begins on Friday, April 22, with a free public
reception from 6 to 8 p.m. for the artists ― graduating
senior art majors Trisha Chhaganlal, John
Greenawalt, Kirstin Guillot, Anthony Hearn, Briggs Jones, Tiffany Kuhn,
Samantha Lopez, Nicola MacGeoch, Samuel Scharf, Yoselin Sosa Sanchez,
Ashley Stempler, Sarai Thiel, Jennifer Watts, Richard Way, and Sally
Woods. The 2005 Senior Art Show, which is juried and has
many of the artworks for sale, continues through May 15. The
jurors will be presenting special awards at the opening reception.
This exhibition encompasses a wide range of works by the
15 graduating artists, including mixed-media panels, oil and acrylic
paintings, sculpture, photography, and monotypes. The 50 artworks in
the show represent the culmination of each student’s college-level art
education and progress as an artist.
The
Cornell Fine Arts Museum is currently undergoing an expansion project
and will re-open to the public in the fall of 2005. The 2005 Senior
Art Show is on view daily from 6 a.m. to midnight at Rollins
College’s Cornell Campus Center. For more information, please
