“2005 Senior Art Show” Opens at Rollins College

Winter Park, FL ―  Rollins College’s Cornell Fine Arts Museum and the Department of Art and Art History have jointly organized the 2005 Senior Art Show mounted in the College’s Cornell Campus Center.  The exhibition begins on Friday, April 22, with a  free public reception from 6 to 8 p.m. for the artists ― graduating senior art majors Trisha Chhaganlal, John Greenawalt, Kirstin Guillot, Anthony Hearn, Briggs Jones, Tiffany Kuhn, Samantha Lopez, Nicola MacGeoch, Samuel Scharf, Yoselin Sosa Sanchez, Ashley Stempler, Sarai Thiel, Jennifer Watts, Richard Way, and Sally Woods.  The 2005 Senior Art Show, which is juried and has many of the artworks for sale, continues through May 15.  The jurors will be presenting special awards at the opening reception.

This exhibition encompasses a wide range of works by the 15 graduating artists, including mixed-media panels, oil and acrylic paintings, sculpture, photography, and monotypes.  The 50 artworks in the show represent the culmination of each student’s college-level art education and progress as an artist.

The Cornell Fine Arts Museum is currently undergoing an expansion project and will re-open to the public in the fall of 2005.  The 2005 Senior Art Show is on view daily from 6 a.m. to midnight at Rollins College’s Cornell Campus Center.  For more information, please call 407-646-2526 or visit the Cornell’s website at www.rollins.edu/cfam.
