School Visits

The Cornell Fine Arts Museum offers docent-led tours to primary and secondary students from public and private schools in Central Florida.  Students are inspired by our collection and exhibitions, and a Museum tour supports teachers by encouraging visual literacy, critical thinking skills, and art appreciation.

We are pleased to acknowledge the WJClive Foundation for their generous grant which enables us to provide transportation and substitute teachers so that students and teachers can enjoy the CFAM.  We would also like to thank the Galloway Foundation for their contribution as one of our donors. Docent-led tours are conducted by appointment on Tuesday through Friday, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. School groups are invited to bring a picnic and enjoy picturesque Lake Virginia from the Museum's back patio after the tour.

Teachers, please click here for a printable copy of the 2011 Fall Season Educator's Guide!  Included in the guide will be your Tour Request Form and information for reserving a tour date.

Teacher Workshops

Teacher workshops are held on Saturdays throughout the school year and feature many mediums and techniques taught by Rollins faculty and local artists. Workshops are held on the Rollins campus from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and enable teachers to earn in-service credit while encouraging discussion and exploration of classroom strategies and opportunities

Teacher Membership

Teachers and students are eligible to become members of the Cornell Museum of Fine Arts at a reduced rate. Members receive free admission, merchandise discounts, invitations to special member events, and priority notice of teacher workshops.
