What is Rollins College Career Expo?
The Office of Career Services sponsors an annual Career Expo which consists of various organizations offering full-time positions, internships and summer employment.  Each organization will have a table and representatives available to discuss the various opportunities within their companies.  Attending Career Expo is a great experience that will allow you to connect with some interesting people and learn about the different fields of work available.  Start collecting those business cards now!

Who Can Attend?
Rollins College Career Expo is NOT just for seniors and alumni, but for first year students, sophomores, and juniors too!  It is an opportunity to network with employers, learn more about different career fields, and possibly get an internship.  Expo also provides a chance for students to gather research about different companies they may want to work with someday.  In fact, we suggest that students attend before their senior year so they can become familiar with the format of a Career Expo, in addition to learning about summer or internship positions in which they are currently interested.  Guests of the college attending Career Expo 2008 should see information below.

How Can I Find Out What Companies Will Be There?
A complete listing of companies/organizations that have registered to attend Career Expo 2008 and positions they are looking to fill will be made available on this website by early March, 2008.

Resume Book
The Office of Career Services will compile a “Rollins Resume Book” which will be made available online to every employer attending Career Expo.  All students, first year students through alumni, are encouraged to post a resume in this online book.  Expo employers will be able to search the online Rollins Resume Book to look for candidates to fill internships, summer employment or full-time positions.  The deadline for submitting your resume online for the book will be Wednesday, March 26, 2008.  Any resumes submitted for the resume book by this date will be distributed to employers who attended Career Expo.   To upload your resume, please follow the instructions below.

Be Prepared
The most important strategy in the job search process is the research.  This means assessing yourself, learning what skills you enjoy using, and discovering what types of job environments you seek.  Research also involves exploring potential occupations.  Utilize this website o see which organizations will be attending the Expo.  In addition, you can click on the links to learn more about the various companies.  To conduct general Internet research on industries, companies, occupations and salaries, go to the Career Related Web Sites page. The more research you do in advance, the more confident you will feel at the Career Expo.
