We are dedicated to helping you find a job on campus and ensuring that you get the most out of your employment experiences throughout your time at Rollins.
You will find information about the different types of employment for which you can apply, as well as how to get started searching for a job on campus, and the paperwork we will need from you before you start working.
There are 2 types of on-campus employment at Rollins for undergraduate students: Federal Work Study positions and Department Funded Student positions. The only difference is the funding source and student eligibility. Certain departments also offer on-campus Graduate Assistantships to Rollins graduate students.
Federal Work Study Positions
Federal Work Study (FWS) is a federally-funded financial aid program awarded to students based on their eligibility determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) along with other financial aid criteria. Funding for this program is limited. Students are awarded a specific amount, and the federal government subsidizes the wages to the employer. This means that Rollins pays a portion of the wages and FWS pays the remaining portion.
Federal Work Study positions are available only to those students who have received a letter or email from the Financial Aid Office indicating their work study eligibility for the current academic year. If you have not received a letter or email indicating your work study eligibility, you are not eligible for Federal Work Study positions and will not be able to be considered.
Note: The receipt of a financial aid award does not guarantee a job.
Department Funded Positions
Students without federal funding can find jobs in many of the same departments as Federal Work Study students. Rollins departments pay in full for these students' wages, and the conditions of employment are the same as with work study. All Rollins students are eligible to apply for these positions, regardless of financial need.
Graduate Assistantship positions vary widely depending on the hiring department. Some pay an hourly rate, while others provide a stipend or tuition assistance. Please check the Rollins student job posting website for Graduate Assistantship postings and their individual characteristics.
Use your FoxID and password to log in to RCareerLink. Once logged in, view the “Jobs and Internships” tab at the top of the page and choose “On-Campus Student Employment”. All available positions will be listed for you to review. New positions will be posted daily, so make sure to check back often.
Note: Work Study positions are only available to students who have received an email indicating their federal work study eligibility based on their FAFSA. Ineligible students will be withdrawn from the work study applicant pools.
After finding a position you wish to apply to, you will be asked to login or create an account (apply without Vitae). Keep in mind that this is separate from your FoxID and password, and will be used when applying for on-campus jobs. Upload a resume and/or cover letter and proceed through the application process.
After completing the application you will be prompted to submit it for review. Once you get a confirmation number on the screen you know that your application has been successfully submitted. Make sure to keep an eye on your email for possible requests for interviews. It may be a few weeks before you hear back about your application as departments have many applications to review, so don’t let this discourage you or keep you from applying to other positions. Remember, the more you apply, the higher your chances of being hired!
**Once you accept a work study position, your applications to other work study positions will be withdrawn. Students cannot have more than one work study position at a time.

Students should review the handbook before applying for a job on campus, and throughout their employment with the College. This tool will help you make the most out of your on-campus employment experience.
Complete New Hire Paperwork
Before starting to work in any on-campus jobs, students must visit the Center for Career & Life Planning to complete the necessary new hire paperwork listed below.
Note: U.S. resident students are required to complete their new hire forms only once during their college career. International students are required to update their tax information annually.

• Student Employment Application - Please print your application, sign & date the last page.
• I-9 Form - Complete in person in the Center for Career & Life Planning. Please bring one original document from either List A or B AND one from List C from the List of Acceptable Work Documents.
• W-4 Form - Fill out the bottom portion.
• Worker's Compensation Form - Read and complete the bottom portion.
• Employee Pay Selection Form - Initial your preferred method of payment and sign.
• Confidentiality Statement - Review FERPA FAQs, then sign form.
• Student Title IX Online Courses - Complete all 3 online courses and return certificates to the Center for Career & Life Planning. Each course should take approximately 35 minutes.
In order for international students to be eligible to work on-campus, they must be:
● Authorized by United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) to attend Rollins College.
● Maintain full-time student status.
● Have a Social Security Number in order to get paid.
● Complete the non-resident employment procedure.
F-1 Students may start working on-campus immediately after completing new hire paperwork.
J-1 Students must have their on-campus position approved by International Student & Scholar Services prior to starting their work on-campus.
