As a college student, you may at some point feel overwhelmed by the responsibilities of academic work, family and relationships. The Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) office at Rollins College offers an atmosphere where personal concerns of any nature can be examined and discussed freely and confidentially. Such an atmosphere increases the chances that problems and conflicts can be resolved. Through the therapeutic process, you may come to see yourself and others in a different light, learn how to change self-defeating habits and attitudes, and be better able to make a positive contribution to your own life as well as to the lives of others.

Common Counseling Concerns:

  • Academic stress
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Eating and body image concerns
  • Relationship issues
  • Sexual abuse, molestation and rape
  • Cultural adjustment
  • Alcohol and/or drug use/dependency

Counseling is confidential except in certain specific circumstances. Our office is located on the terrace level of Elizabeth Hall where our counselors and staff are ready to serve you. We provide consultation to students or parents concerned about a friend or family member, as well as referrals to mental health professionals in the community.
