On June 24, 2015, leaders from the Central Florida nonprofit sector attended a dedication ceremony honoring the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation hosted by the Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business. In recognition of the Foundation’s 15 years of continued generosity to the Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership Center at Rollins Crummer Graduate School, the Center was renamed the Edyth Bush Institute for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership.

The ceremony at the Alfond Inn in Winter Park was attended by almost 200 nonprofit leaders from all over Central Florida, including Rollins President Craig McAllaster, Crummer Dean Thomas McEvoy, David A. Odahowski, President & CEO of the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation and Margaret Linnane, Executive Director of the newly renamed Edyth Bush Institute for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership at Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business.

“Rollins and Crummer have been both honored and humbled by the support of the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation,” said Linnane. “We’re united by our shared commitment to making Central Florida a better place for all, and we look forward to the Institute’s continued growth and support of Central Florida’s nonprofit organizations.”

The Edyth Bush Institute for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership, one of four Centers of Excellence within the Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business, was established to build the impact, effectiveness, and leadership of nonprofit and philanthropic organizations through education and management assistance.  Each year over 3,000 nonprofit professionals from Central Florida and around the country engage with the Institute to help build a nonprofit sector that is valued by the community for its innovation, leadership, and integral role in determining quality of life. In conjunction with the dedication ceremony, the Institute has launched a new website( ebi.rollins.edu), which will serve as a trusted go-to resource for those in the nonprofit community to learn about the Institute’s custom programs and online training.

“The Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation has a 42-year commitment to increasing the management and leadership capacity of non-profit organizations in Florida,“ said David Odahowski, President & CEO of the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation. “We are pleased that our founder’s name is now a part of the organization dedicated to the advancement of Florida’s non-profit community.”
