Company Co-founded by Rollins MBA Student Wins BIG Award

GroundFlights has taken home the top prize of the “Judges Choice Award” for their award winning video and business model, which focuses on The Ultimate Customer Experience.

“The impact of The B.I.G. Award is measured not only by the recognition provided to the Winner, but also by the benefits that will come from the $35,000 prize package that includes training, consultation and regional exposure associated with complimentary advertising and membership in key entrepreneurial associations and programs,” says Leslie Hielema, President of Orlando, Inc. “Our 2010 Judges’ Choice Winner grew his business by 1,000 percent in the year following his recognition, and we expect great things from our 2011 Winner, GroundFlights, Inc. The Judges, who are all entrepreneurs growing successful companies, selected GroundFlights as the best example of the ultimate customer experience.

The video, which can be seen on the www.BigAward.org website, was a collaboration of GroundFlights, Inc., Producer, Valensky Sylvain (www.DarkElfFilms.com) and Director, James Hunter, President of 1st Dibz Productions. The video was filmed over the course of 8 hours at the UCF Orlando Business Incubator where GroundFlights headquarters is located.

Jason Goldberg, Co‐Founder and CEO of GroundFlights, Inc said, “The competition for this award was tremendous which makes winning it even more surreal. Being selected as the ‘Judges’ Choice’ was an honor in and of itself and now being able to partner with organizations like Orlando, Inc and the amazing professional services firms that donated their time and expertise may be just the momentum we need to take our company to the next level!”

Says Jarvis Hall, Co‐Founder and CFO of GroundFlights, Inc., “The BIG award was a breath of fresh air and our persistence is finally paying off. I would like to thank Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business for being instrumental in the growth and development of GroundFlights. Crummer’s faculty, students, and friends of the program spent many hours helping and advising us on different aspects of GroundFlights from its beginning stages. Crummer is a first class program and played a significant part in us winning the BIG Award.”

Thomas Duffy, Co‐Founder and COO of GroundFlights, Inc. added, “It is a true honor to be recognized for our hard work; it’s a good feeling that the judges would see our vision for providing our customers with such detailed service and reward us for doing so. I can’t thank Orlando, Inc., The B.I.G. Summit, Full Sail University and the other entrants to the BIG Awards enough. To have so many driven and ambitious entrepreneurs under the same roof, all aiming for the same level of success only inspires me, personally, to continue chasing my dreams each day that I walk into my office.”
