Rollins MBA Awards $10,000 Scholarship to Luz M. Guiza Through National Society of Hispanic MBAs Partner Program

December 6, 2010 – The Rollins MBA at the Crummer Graduate School of Business has awarded Luz M. Guiza a $10,000 per academic year scholarship through the school’s participation in the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) Partner Program. The scholarship program assists qualified Hispanics to pursue an MBA degree. Scholarships are offered each year for full- and part-time study at an accredited (AACSB) institution of the student's choice. Guiza is attending Rollins’ Professional MBA program.

A 2006 graduate of the University of Central Florida, Guiza began her MBA studies at Rollins in the fall of 2009, and plans to pursue international business and marketing concentrations. She is currently employed as a marketing manager at Astonish Results, a digital media marketing company. Guiza is active in the Central Florida Hispanic business community serving on numerous chamber councils and boards and is a vice president for the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting. She is a member of the local Orlando NSHMBA chapter.

The National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) was created in 1988 as a non-profit organization. Widely known as the "Premier Hispanic Organization," NSHMBA serves 32 chapters and 8,000 members in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. It exists to foster Hispanic leadership through graduate management education and professional development. NSHMBA works to prepare Hispanics for leadership positions throughout the U.S., so that they can provide the cultural awareness and sensitivity vital in the management of the nation's diverse workforce.
