Professor of Operations Management James P. Gilbert has taught at Rollins College, the University of Georgia, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Western Illinois University. His areas of expertise include quick response systems, quality management, and the development of efficient process management systems for manufacturing and services.

Dr. Gilbert is the only Rollins College faculty member who is a Lilly Teaching Fellow. He has also taught outside of the United States on the subject of contemporary quality management at the Institute d’Administration des Enterprise, University Jean Moulin, in Lyon, France.
