Keep the Tradition Strong

Rollins has a long and rich experience of excellence in academics and athletics. Our teams compete in the toughest conference at the Division II level, while facing more rigorous academic programs than most of our competitors. To keep that tradition going, we need you to join our team.

...Support the 2000+ Program

With your help, we can:
  • Recruit talented student-athletes and keep our teams competitive
  • Continue the number and variety of athletic programs we currently offer
  • Provide a Rollins experience to our student-athletes of the future

Volunteer your time and services to support our young athletes. Service takes many forms and can be as extensive as you would like. Host a coach who is recruiting in your area, join the Tar Booster Club, help with mailings, tickets, etc.

Help fund annual scholarships. Many of our young man and women are able to pursue a Rollins experience only because of the scholarship they receive. Without this funds, the program would be seriously weakened. With the rising cost of education, the need for these funds increases each year. Rollins has built a solid program of approximately 300 varsity student-athletes with a reputation of combining athletic and academic quality. For this tradition of success to continue, more scholarships are needed.

The endowment. The TARS 2000+ Athletic Scholarship Endowment Drive will help us build funds which are permanently invested to provide income for future Tars programs. Most similar schools have endowments two to four times larger. We recognize that building an endowment takes time. There are many ways to help build Rollins' athletic endowment. Donors may add to the principal of existing scholarships, support the endowment drive or in many other ways which we would be happy to discuss with you.

Tars Athletic Scholarship Endowment Drive

Support of Rollins' athletic programs does not have to cost a lot of money. There are many painless ways to keep the tradition going strong:

Outright Gifts - These are the easiest to arrange and can include cash, stock or other items. These gifts are usually deductible on your income tax return at their fair market value.

Life Income Gifts - With some gifts, the College arranges to pay the donor (or someone selected by the donor) income for life. The specific terms of these arrangements will vary based on the income recipient's age. Among these types of gifts are charitable gift annuities, gifts to the College's Pooled Income Fund, and charitable trusts.

Life Insurance Gifts - This is another way to pay for a gift over a lifetime. Often these arrangements enable a donor to make a larger gift than originally thought possible. These gifts are especially attractive to younger individuals.

Bequests - Remembering the College in a will provides a donor's estate with tax relief and is a simple and very effective way to benefit the Tars programs. Many of the nation's most prestigious institutions were built through gifts left in individuals' wills.
