Emergence Exhibition At CFAM

WINTER PARK, FL -  The Cornell Fine Arts Museum, in collaboration with the Department of Art and Art History at Rollins College, is proud to host Emergence, an exhibition debuting the work of nine senior studio art majors from the Class of 2014.

Vasiliki Barakos, Grace Loescher, Jorge Musa, Miriam Rovirosa, Leah Sandler, Anastasia Stefanos, Chelsey VanderVliet, Lin VanderVliet, and Nicole Weedo are the senior art students presenting in the show.  Emergence is the culmination of their artistic efforts and accomplishments over the past four years.  The exhibition includes a variety of mediums such as: painting, printmaking, sculpture and photography.

The exhibition was juried by Rollins College studio art professors Joshua Almond, Dana Hargrove, Dawn Roe, and Rachel Simmons, and by Amy Galpin, curator of the Cornell Fine Arts Museum.  The jurors’ selections exemplify the students’ talents, technical prowess, and ingenuity.

The preview reception takes place at the Cornell Fine Arts Museum on Friday, April 18th from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm. This event is free and open to the public.

Emergence will be on view at the Cornell Fine Arts Museum from April 19 through May 11, 2014.
