April 18, 2013

On Wednesday April 24, 201 at 6:00 p.m., Cornell Fine Arts Museum is hosting a Thomas P. Johnson Distinguished Visiting Artist Lecture by Dawn Gavin.  In Dawn's words ...

In examining the dialectical interplay that exists between a number of interconnected recurring themes and ideas within my own artistic practice, I seek to explore materiality and meaning, and the distance in between. The title at once suggests a format of correspondence, while also reinforcing the notion of a journey."

This event is sponsored by the Department of Art and Art History, and is open to the public.

For more information on the lecture contact Dana Hargrove, Associate Professor of Art, Department of Art and Art History, Rollins College at 407.646.2111.
