WINTER PARK, FL - The Photograph as Language exhibition showcases photographs produced during the fall semester of 2011 by a group of first-year students enrolled in the RCC course, The Photograph as Language, at Rollins College, and members of the Brain Fitness program of Winter Park. This service-learning course is offered regularly at Rollins and normally pairs students with populations undergoing therapy for the acquired language disorder known as aphasia. This semester was the first opportunity to engage in this work with a group comprised of adults with early-stage dementia.
The reception takes place on March 14, from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm at the J. K. and Sarah Galloway Foundation Community Gallery located within the Winter Park Welcome Center at the Chamber of Commerce, 151 Lyman Avenue, Winter Park, Florida.
The exhibition will run from March 4th through March 24th, 2012.
