Didi Kirtley '70 and fellow travelers

Didi Kirtley '70 (pictured left) never gave Travel Program trips much thought until a brochure advertising our 2009 journey to Turkey arrived in her mailbox. She enjoyed that trip so much that she also explored Egypt & The Eternal Nile with the Alumni Association and spoke about her experiences in Executive Travel Magazine. Mystical India

October 12 - 29, 2014

Optional Post-tour Extension: Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal

Mystical and spiritual, chaotic and confounding, India abounds with riches that invite your personal exploration. Start the tour in bustling Delhi, the apex of the country's Golden Triangle, where we explore the sights of Old Delhi and New Delhi. Continue to legendary Jaipur, one of the great cities of the Rajput known for its pink sandstond buildings and dine in the home of a multi-generational Rajasthan family. Search for elusive Bengal tigers and other wildlife at Ranthambore National Park, once a royal hunting ground, and enjoy a two-night stay at Ranthambore Tiger Preserve. Embark on an afternoon camel safari to meet the Meena tribespeople in Kalakho. Travel to Agra to visit the sublime Taj Mahal as well as Agra Fort, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Visit the evocative Hindu temples at Khajuraho. Witness Hindu pilgrims performing their rituals on the Ganges River in the holy city of Varanasi where we conclude our exploration of India. A 5-day/5-night post-tour extension to the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal is available.
