26th Annual Bucky Copeland Memorial Tennis Classic

Cornell Fine Arts Museum (CFAM)

Nevelson by Night
Approximately one dozen sculptural assemblages by Louise Nevelson—one of America’s leading post-war artists—including black wall works and free-standing sculptural objects, c. 1958-76, will be on view.

Corps Exquis
Drawings, etchings, lithographs, and mixed and new media works of art describe the “exquisite body”—a central theme in art for centuries—as interpreted by Pablo Picasso, Kiki Smith, Paul Cézanne, Ida Applebroog, Vanessa Beecroft, Rembrandt van Rijn, and Duncan Grant, among many others.

Orly Genger and Gandalf Gavan
CFAM will be the site of two extraordinary, room-sized, sculptural installations created by the New York-based artists Orly Genger and Gandalf Gavan. Both Genger and Gavan will be given galleries which they will transform with their site-specific works.

Florida Film Festival

Premieres of the best in cutting-edge current cinema; indulgent experiences in food and wine; a blissful mix of industry parties and special events; a star-packed attendee list—this is the 17th annual Florida Film Festival, which begins on Friday, March 28 and continues for 10 days around Central Florida. Urban sophistication and avant-garde edge define this year's opening weekend festivities featuring celebrity chef, best-selling author, and No Reservations (The Travel Channel) host Anthony Bourdain.

Celebrating 75 Years of the Annie Russell Theatre

Make yourself comfortable in the theatre’s plush red seats, as students and faculty present their collaborative research. One of the projects was completed by Joseph Bromfield ’08 and Associate Professor of Theatre Arts Jennifer Cavenaugh and focuses on the theatre’s namesake, dealing with the correspondence between actress Annie Russell and author Faith Baldwin. The other, by eight students and Assistant Professor of Theatre Arts David Charles, showcases Murder We Wrote, the first ever fully improvised two-act production.

Don't miss the unveiling of the new 9/11 Memorial, which features stones from the three sites arranged along with commemorative coins and an inscription of a quote from President George W. Bush.

March 29, 1932, was the opening night of the first production at the Annie Russell Theatre and featured Annie Russell in a play called In the Balcony. During Reunion Weekend, current Theatre majors will collaborate with Theatre alumni on a program of scenes celebrating the life and career of Annie Russell.
