Alexandra Pearson '12 is an International Relations major with a minor in both Spanish and Latin American and Caribbean studies. Alexandra has taken advantage of numerous study abroad opportunities at Rollins, including going to Guatemala on a political field study her first year, studying abroad in Italy (where she held an European Union (EU) internship) and Spain during her junior year, as well as taking part in a political field study in Thailand this past winter term where the group studied the issue of human rights.
Alexandra is an active member of the Rollins community and is part of or has been a part of numerous organizations affiliated with Residential Life, Admission, Alumni Relations and Fox Funds just to name a few. She also works part time at Fiddler's Green Irish Pub and Eatery, a popular go to for Rollins students.
Upon graduation Alexandra hopes to get an internship or a job relating to either travel or the government. Her ultimate goal is to work for the foreign service or the EU in some capacity and potentially end up serving as an Ambassador to the United States or Spain.
Hello! My name is Cass Yankala '13 and I am proud to be serving as a campus reporter on behalf of the Student Alumni Ambassadors.
Originally out of Chicago, I had my site set on Rollins by my sophomore year in high school. After a meeting with Holly Pohlig '01, director of admission, and seeing the way her eyes sparkled when she talked about Rollins, I just knew I too, wanted to call this incredible place my home.
I am studying Critical Media and Cultural Studies with minors in both Communication and Australian Studies. When not celebrating the incredible Florida weather, I love to take advantage of the countless opportunities Rollins has to offer. From my home in Alpha Omicron Pi to the Admission Office, from Pinehurst to the sailing team, I love being part of the Rollins community. I have completed internships with Ballast Marketing Group, Hoya Lens Australia, Rollins' Office of Alumni Relations, and currently the Office of Communications and Marketing at the College. I also have had the chance to travel abroad with a summer program in London and a semester program in Australia. Looking into the future, I hope to find myself working in publicity and marketing in the film and television industry. For now, I am living in the moment and taking in all Rollins has to offer!
