Hey y'all! I'm Kate, Associate Director of Admission here at Rollins. I grew up in Baltimore, MD and graduated from Rollins in 2003 with a major in International Relations and a minor in Politics. I went to a small, all-girls school my entire life, and decided to attend Rollins because of its well-known academics, smaller class sizes, numerous study abroad and involvement opportunities, and its location.
A Rollins education is one where you are an active participant--from daily classroom discussions, field study courses, community engagement, collaborative research with faculty as an undergraduate...these are just a handful of what you will be exposed to at Rollins! When I was a student, I went abroad to London and worked as a marketing intern for Bobbi Brown cosmetics. I was a writing consultant and tutor in our resource center, volunteered at "Give Kids the World" here in Orlando, and helped out at the annual Rollins "Halloween Howl."
After graduation, I was fortunate to have the experience to move back north and live in Washington, DC, where I worked for a United States Senator on Capitol Hill. Rollins drew me back a few years later, and I love recruiting high school students to Rollins and seeing the next generation of Rollins students make their mark at this wonderful institution.
