One afternoon in 1880, Lucy Cross had a vision: a college in Central Florida. Five years later, Rollins became the first college in the area, and is now the oldest recognized college in the state.
Three years ago, Fatema Kermalli ’11 became determined to find a just and peaceful solution to the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict while watching the war in Lebanon on her TV. Since then, she has immersed herself in that goal. An international relations major and Jewish studies minor, Kermalli is spending the year abroad pursing intensive Arabic study in Jordan—a country with historic ties to the conflict—after receiving the prestigious
