In the Academic Internship Program, students can earn 2, 3, or 4 credit hours at the 300 level by completing an 80 - 160 hour internship and a comprehensive internship course. In order to be eligible for Rollins’ AIP, a student must have earned a minimum of 30 semester hours of credit, and is not on academic or judicial probation during the semester in which they are enrolled for the internship. In addition, a student can only apply a maximum of 12 semester hours of internship credit towards graduation. For more details regarding AIP policies, please view the Educational Programs and Opportunities section of the College catalogue.
The student is responsible for obtaining their own internship. Students are strongly encouraged to visit the Office of Career Services for advisement on securing an internship (i.e. internship search, resume writing, interviewing, etc). The Office of Career Services has several resources for finding an internship, which includes the Jobs for Tars database with more than 350 local internship opportunities.
